Understanding Case Statuses and Their Meanings

Overview of the different statuses a case can have, along with their meanings.

Status

Description

Created

​Initial status when the case is first set up.

The case was created.

Draft

Used for multi-entity cases. ​The case is in preparation but not yet actively engaged with the client.

The case has been created, but the invitation has not been sent to client.

Submitted

The flow is submitted but still waiting for some data for third-party integrations.

The case has been formally submitted but requires additional data.

In progress

When one entity has completed the first step.

The process has begun and one part is underway.

Pending

Used for multi entity cases, when the primary entity has not yet verified.

Awaiting verification or action from a key entity.

Completed

When all data on the case is received.

The case process is finished and all required information is gathered.

Failed

When the case has been submitted, but not completed in x (determined in your personal case settings) days.


The case has not been successfully completed within the designated timeframe.

Abandoned

Automatically set to abandon a case after a given number of days. This can be configured as needed.

The case is automatically marked as abandoned if not complete in a specific period.

Declined

Manually set to decline.

The case is intentionally rejected or marked as declined.

Archived

When an entity is archived.

The case or related entities are archived for record-keeping or future reference.
