In Uniify, you have the option to create a generic link, which is a flexible and efficient way to onboard multiple clients without manually creating individual cases for each one.
What is a Generic Link?
A generic link is a unique URL you generate in Uniify. When someone clicks the link and completes the onboarding flow, a new case is automatically created for them - no need for you to pre-fill names or emails.
This is ideal when:
You are onboarding multiple people at once (e.g., during an event or company visit)
You want to place a link on your website, intranet, or internal platform
How to Create a Generic Link
Go to Uniify → Cases → Create Case
Choose a Case Template and Flow
Select the onboarding flow you want clients to go through.Fill in the required fields - but leave the email field blank
Important: Do not fill in the email field. If you do, Uniify will send out an email invitation, and no link will be generated.
Click "Create case"
Copy the link shown at the top of the screen
After creating the case, you'll see a green confirmation banner at the top of the "All Cases" overview containing a link.Make the link generic
Remove the unique ID after the ?cc= part.
Example:
https://app.uniify.io/consent/2bmwjhgp8w/nqz22qhj6i?cc=test0001234
Generic version of the link:
https://app.uniify.io/consent/2bmwjhgp8w/nqz22qhj6i?cc=
Important about Generic Links
A new case is created every time the link is clicked
Every time someone clicks the generic link and starts the flow, a new case is created - even if they don't complete the flow. This may result in multiple cases with the status "In progress" in your case overview.
Encourage clients to complete the flow in one session
We recommend that you inform your clients to complete the onboarding flow in one go. Since the case is created through a generic link (and not directly via the Uniify dashboard), it's not possible to resume from where they left off if they close the browser or tab. If the client leaves the flow and returns later by clicking the link again, a new case will be created - and they’ll have to start over from the beginning.
The client's name appears only after identity verification
The client's name will only show in the case overview once they reach the step that retrieves identity information (e.g., MitID or CVR lookup). Until then, the case will appear without a name in the case overview.
